Government spending is out of control. Our undisciplined Congress has become the playground of special interests, with taxpayers footing the bill for policies and programs that benefit certain interests at the expense of our personal and economic freedom. Many of these government programs and expenditures ultimately foster dependency on government instead of individual self-reliance. The accumulation of national debt and the expatriation of jobs and companies are not sustainable, and if not reversed, will bring down our economy and destroy our sovereignty.

As your Congressman, I will:

• Support a level-funded budget for the next budget cycle and beyond until we see a zero-deficit budget and achieve honest programmed reductions in our national debt.
• Support reductions in federal programs that are not directly related to those functions that are reserved constitutionally to the federal government.
• Support a mandate to enforce “sunset” laws for programs that are outdated and/or not performing to measurable standards.
• Oppose any and all tax increases.
• Support auditing the Federal Reserve to bring about transparency in our monetary system.
• Support “truth in budgeting” legislation that clearly shows the true financial costs of proposed programs and policies.
